## What Makes NovaBACKUP Different

- The central management console allows MSPs and IT resellers to create and manage backups for all their clients. The status of all backup jobs can be monitored here, restores can be initiated from here, and all agents installed locally at client sites can be updated from here. The central management console is multi-tenant, and MSPs can create additional accounts with dedicated access rights for staff and clients.
- NovaBACKUP supports both local and offsite backups. Cloud storage is available in the US, Germany, and Canada, and MSPs can also connect other cloud storage providers via S3. NovaBACKUP also supports hybrid backups, allowing MSPs to implement a 3-2-1 backup strategy within a single backup job.
- NovaBACKUP uses the Incremental Forever backup scheme. Selected data is first backed up in full, after which only changes are transferred. Each backup file contains references to previous backups and therefore to the complete dataset, ensuring that every backup file knows where the full dataset resides.
- NovaBACKUP uses multiple mechanisms to ensure backup recoverability. These include customizable retention rules, verification of existing backup files to guarantee a complete restore of the selected data (and if anything is missing, it is backed up again), and the ability to quickly and easily test backups for restorability.
